More than 1,400 freshmen and transferees attended the Student Academic Information System (SAIS) Training held by the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) in preparation for the upcoming registration for the Second Semester 2021-2022. 

Four two-hour online sessions were conducted last 22-24 November 2021.  During each online session, a demonstration of the registration steps using SAIS was given followed by a Q&A portion to give students a chance to ask questions. 

The training is conducted yearly to familiarize new students with UPLB’s computerized registration.  While the class schedules of new freshmen are prepared by the OUR for their first semester at university, the freshmen are expected to use SAIS to enroll themselves in courses starting with their second semester at university. The training thus aims to explain the registration process and how SAIS is used during the preregistration, general registration as well as change of matriculation periods.

A similar refresher SAIS training was also conducted for the staff of the various offices of the college secretaries and registration committee members of the units last 03 September 2021.
